A lot of customers have purchased tractors with a K46 installed that should have purchased a tractor with a larger more robust transaxle because of their application and expectations. If you look at the number of K46 transaxles out there in the field, you will see that with over 5 million of them, the issues are extremely low, given the volume of the units. The filter should never require changing unless the transaxle is removed from the tractor or rider and opened for repairs.įinally, after purging the transaxle of air, add additional oil through tank opening (under vent valve) to the recommended oil level. In heavy usage applications, oil changing is recommended after the 1st 50 hours of operation and every 200 hours, thereafter.
