I have tried this in 2019.1, 2018.4, and in multiples different projects, and still nothing. Inheriting GridBrush is possible when similar functionality is required, but extending it has its limits compared. I pull up the Tile Palette window, click the 'Create New Palette' button, type in a name for it, click 'Create', choose a location in my assets folder to place it in, then click 'Choose'. When creating custom brushes, it is recommended to inherit GridBrushBase by default. In documentation up to 2019.1, there's a page on GridBrush. After selecting the option to create a new Tile Palette, the Create New Palette dialog box becomes available. Documentation on this is poor unfortunately, with a lack of examples. Select the Create New Palette option from the drop-down menu. It is also inefficient to place objects such as trees, plants, and flowers one by one. Create a new Tile Palette and Tilemap called Animated Tile. When creating a scene, it takes a lot of time and effort to attach materials to each terrain you create. The next part of Rule Tiles that we are going to explore is the animated aspect. You’ll see that it changes the image based on the tile’s position. Create New Palette button In the Create New Palette window are the following options. Create a new Palette by selecting Create New Palette. In Unity 2017.2, we introduced a new addition to the 2D Feature Set: Tilemaps!
